Building an Individual Peaceful Sphere of Influence

and Making a Collective Peaceful Difference

We want peace in our experience of life, individually and globally. As we learn how to create and live a peaceful life, we are helping not only ourselves and our loved ones but also doing our part to change the world - as an example others can choose to follow. For years I thought the spiritual path required me to be like Mother Theresa, feeding and clothing those less fortunate than myself. I perceived myself selfish because I didn’t feel called to this kind of service.
Eventually, I realized that, since we are individual, each of us finds our own unique, individual contribution. We find what is ours to do.  There are as many ways to serve humanity as there are human beings. Each of us brings a unique gift to our world; therefore, each must discover what our contribution will be. Each of us has the opportunities to discover an individual sense of purpose and passion, learning how this discovery contributes to our personal well-being and the betterment of humanity.
As we individually heal, find our power and manifest peace, we are doing our part to heal the world of the violence and suffering presently a part of our collective experience. The present state of our world flows from the present state of human collective consciousness. The world is what it is, the way it is, because of the beliefs that have dominated human collective consciousness throughout history. These beliefs are still actively creating the conditions in our world.
It is clear that if we continue to think the same thoughts, feel the same feelings and make the same choices, we will continue to manifest the same violence, war, hunger and suffering that fill our history books. It is time to let go of the beliefs causing this pain, time to focus on better ideas that create constructive beliefs, leading humanity to a more peaceful and joyous manner of living.

The answer involves thinking outside the box of our current collective human consciousness. Are you ready and willing to examine your core beliefs? Are you willing to fearlessly challenge existing thinking, knowing that this is the way to effect change?

Nothing is more important than to we collectively raise our consciousness to a peaceful state. We must remove everything from our consciousness that does not reflect this peaceful state of mind. Each of us can do our part. If your only contribution to the healing of your world is your own healing, you have done your part. You have done enough.

I dream that humanity realizes we are united in One Power, One God. I dream that humanity finally realizes there is no force of evil, no enemy to look for, no inherent need for war and conflict. I dream we live in a world that knows there is nothing to fight for or about, nothing to kill for - a world that lives in peace.

I wonder if I will live long enough to see this dream realized. I know it will happen; by the grace of God, it is inevitable.
